The Marley Resort & Spa is celebrating its second anniversary in grand style with a series of events. The first commenced with an exquisite Wine and Cheese
that was held recently on the north lawn of the property located on West Bay Street, Cable Beach.


As invited guests entered the regally designed copper gates they were immediately immersed into the lap of luxury as they toured the vacation home of The Marley Family as it has been transformed into a 16 suite exquisite boutique resort.

Imagine staying in the same room as the Legendary reggae superstar or their Royal Rita beachfront suite. Each named after select Marley songs made famous by
the reggae icon.

If you missed the Wine and Cheese this and much more awaits you. A barrage of media personnel descended on the Natural Mystic Spa, and was quite pleased at the holistic approach taken to please patrons. In addition to the Wine and Cheese, media personnel stopped by the Natural Mystic Spa.
Erin Gay, Spa Coordinator, explained some of the services offered that includes Mocha Rum Body Wrap, Herbal Body Scrubs, Deluxe Paraffin Mani-pedicures in our ocean view loft. Spa services and holistic packages can last anywhere from one - four hours
Among the unforgettable ones available is the One Love Experience which consists of a hot stone massage, Royal Rita bath and mocha rum wrap, this takes
approximately three to four hours.


If that was not enough, guest then feasted on delectable dishes prepared by Head Chef Devan Mcphee and his team. Curried chicken crepes, fish filet fish sticks, conch and seafood cakes, jerk tomato briquettes. Mini- chocolate vibes…pumpkin and banana parfait were among the dishes served for dessert. Devan took the time to expound on other dishes that could be found at the property. 'At Marley Resort and Spa we prepare dishes with a multicultural flare primarily fusing Bahamian, Jamaican and Trinidadian cuisines. The staff and I at Simmer Down Restaurant are excited about creating new dishes not only for the anniversary celebrations but for the menu. The mouth watering dishes are edgy, and are pleasing to the eye and palette with the chief ingredient being love. Some of the unique signature dishes for breakfast are Sweet potatoes waffles, pina colada island toast and a
Caribbean stew boil served with sweet hominy. Appetizers include Smoked conch, Pimento Spice Lamb Lolipop, Entrees include Down Home Roasted Rum Duck marinated in Pineapple and Bacardi Rum, Native Stew Crusted Sirloin with wild mushrooms, roma tomatoes and caramelized onions. Desserts, Blue Mountain Coffee &Chocolate Tart with caramelized bananas and a passion fruit banana mint syrup, Caribbean Irie Chocolate Vibes warm decadent chocolate cake with native guavas blueberry compote allspice ice-cream and caramel irie nut brittle.

For tasteful appetizers, Stir It Up Bar menu served their signature Fish wraps, Jamaican Jerk Pizza, Guava BBQ wings and of course our Signature Conch Fritters.


Stir It Up signature drink specials include Kinky Reggae, Mellow Mood, Nice Time and as well Positive Vibration were all available.

With the latest addition of the Royal Rita Juice Bar, healthy natural juices (not cocktails) good for both mind and body. Juice specials include Marathon
Man, Ziggy's delight, our Royal Rita special and many more.
When they had eaten to their hearts delight, besides the latest wines guests were served fruity tropical drinks. Some were mild and some had quite a kick
like the Buffalo Soldier which consist of Absolute
vodka, Herradura silver and ruby red grapefruit which continues to be one of the most requested drinks.
Drinks like the pina colada punch Entertainment for the evening was provided by veteran balladeer Wendal Johnson who performs every Wednesday night.
On Sunday evenings you can catch the beautiful and talented vocalist Alia Coley.
The celebrations continued on Friday evening with an impromptu concert by up and coming artist David Alexander. David a cross between Michael Bolton and Bob
Marley blew into town along with legendary producer Andy Kravitz to record his latest album which is dubbed Mile Zero.

David so impressed by the resort has already booked a return ticket and will be there the first week in July. 'I can not wait to have the Chef's food and see
