Nassau's Pop Duo Releases 1st Video

Nassau's very own pop duo Skyy and Believe held a music video release party recently at the popular Uptown nightclub.
The much-anticipated release was for the song titled Like Me, that is receiving much airplay on all of the radio stations.
When stepping in the club the patrons looked like the who's who in the entertainment industry and it was encouraging to see a strong support from persons involved in theatre. This one event appears to have further bridged a gap that we began to see rapidly closely in recent times especially following the highly successful Shakespeare in Paradise.

Club-goers waited in anticipation to get more than a glimpse what the finished product would look like after weeks of shooting.
It was not however, until 12.40 am that the disc jockey stopped spinning the hits…. and the crowd hovered around the huge screen.
If anyone has seen the work of FDot of Ikonz Media well then you know it would not be the run of the mill video –but more like a mini movie and that it was.
The gist of the storyboard flows like this, Like Me depicted young women going after their dreams and not allowing the haters to get in their way. They did an excellent job of bring in that very encouraging message across.


It however, belied the fact that this project was worked on by some of Nassau' finest which shown through in it's final presentation.
Both Swiftz and Juice Unit dance crews bought their best game and gave the audience watching some amazing dance moves. This was further enhanced by the skill and expertise that LA-based choreographer Nonny Price loaned to the project.
Just when you thought the video could not get hotter ..up comes a cameo appearance by Terneille aka Tada Burrows another young star on the rise.
The video was very well put together and those in the audience showed their approval by requesting a LIVE performance that the duo obliged.
It took the party to another level. El Padrino and Rebirth also gave some crowd-pleasing performances.
It is clear the music industry that we always claim is not here is right before us if we only look.
